A hula mixer?
I needed a project to test the dual
extrusion on the new 3d printer. and I wanted a hula.
This was a very fun, small project for the new
3D printer. I was thinking about interesting lab-related projects
I could print, and I realized that even used hula mixers were
surprisingly expensive. While it is not quite as feature-rich as
some of the others on the market, it works great. The base was
printed out of PLA in one shot and TPU was used as the support
interface material to make support removal significantly easier.
There are several features within the model that would present a
problem for PLA support material removal and I wanted to use the
dual extrusion function of the printer I have. Within the housing
there is a NEMA 17 stepper, a small controller and an arduino
running a very simple loop to rotate and shake. If there is any
interest in something like this, I'm more than happy to throw the
design files and code up on thingiverse.
